Site Location - Technology & Engineering Center (TEC).
AM General's TEC facility provides a full range of engineering and support services for vehicle and platform development and sustainment including a full-service workshop for prototype and small-scale production.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
BSME or equivalent design experience.
Min.
5 years' experience in 3D CAD modeling Min.
10 years' experience in component design and packaging Min.
5 years' experience with NX, parametric modeling and detailing.
NX Parametric 11 or newer, NX 1926 series preferred.
Having knowledge of multiple CAD systems is highly desirable, Creo preferred.
Familiarity with Windchill PLM Familiarity with Teamcenter PLM Familiarity with Teamcenter Visualization Working knowledge of GD&T and descriptive geometry Familiarity with military specifications and standards, especially MIL-STD-31,000.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office software Ability to perform Suspension CAD Simulations PRINCIPLE DUTIES and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating new designs and following them from prototype through production release The candidate shall have the capability to generate robust and innovative designs that are optimized with regards to manufacturability, weight, and cost Regularly generating vehicle general packaging studies.
Complete Chassis component and electrical harness designs (CAD), packages, platform architecture studies, steering and suspension kinematics studies Designing Powertrain integration/packaging solutions Creating basic tolerance stack-ups.
Regularly review designs for issues and develop feasible solutions to resolve problems as before or as they occur.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with various stakeholders by communicating project status, issues and next steps.
PHYSICAL EFFORT While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and or move objects up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to physically support a manufacturing environment through evaluation of on the floor issue resolution and problem solving.
Extended hours to support increased production may be required on occasion WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Location:
This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours.
Employee must be able to perform job functions in environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises.
Teamwork:
This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace.
Listening Skills:
This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately.
Ability to follow instructions:
Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary depending on the products being manufactured; this position should be able to follow instructions competently.
Methodical approach:
Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional Travel will be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
