Summary:
This position administers In-Use testing activities in the United States.
This includes tracking of VWGoA's In-Use Verification Program (IUVP), as it pertains to the procurement and testing of vehicles, as required by regulation, internal screening programs, and government surveillance programs.
This position also manages special assignments for the In-Use team, such as supporting with the PEMS related matters as well as In-Use vehicle emission-related interactions with government agencies.
Furthermore, this position assists cross-functionally within the Engineering & Environmental Office (EEO) Department with Road Load testing, coordination of Certification test vehicle shipments, and other testing needs.

Responsibilities:
In-Use Verification Program - (50%) Administers In-Use Verification Program as required by Federal law set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
This responsibility includes annual IUVP Calendar Year test planning, tracking of progress, testing, and reporting.
Manages internal procurement of vehicles for screening test programs.
Maintains the IUVP website, mailing database, and IUVP team inbox.
Manages third party vehicle procurement and testing.
Coordinates In-Use testing at Volkswagen Emission Laboratory Provides In-Use Program testing result summaries to Factory certification and powertrain development technical staff.
Coordinates with other EEO groups regarding follow-up to In-Use testing results.
Supports additional interactions with agency staff regarding in-use testing results and next steps.
Supports EEO data base activities (e.
g.
, EPA Verify database).
Special Assignments (50%)Examples of special assignments:
General Regulatory Activities Supports In-Use vehicle emission-related interactions with government agencies, including internal compliance programs and government In-Use surveillance programs.
Portable Emission Measurement Supports PEMS-related testing, including vehicle procurement, test planning, and setup of test equipment.
Road Load coastdown and production audits Assists with the on-site Road Load testing of FE variants and on-site Road Load Audit testing and reporting on production vehicles.
Functions include equipment of test vehicles and on-track driving, as necessary Emission Certification Testing Assists in making arrangements for the shipment and receipt of test vehicles High Altitude In-Use Testing Coordinates In-Use testing at the external vendor located in ColoradoRequired
Experience:
3 years relevant experience in automotive industry, preferred emission testing experience specializing in procurementRequired Education:
Associate's Degree or equivalent vehicle testing experience including procurement and emissions data entryDesired Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent work experienceRequired Skills:
