We are looking for an Engineering Manager under unlimited contract to join our team!Our MATERIACT activity is looking for a talent for its offices based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
The headquarters of MATERI'ACT are based in Lyon, France.
Our MATERIACT Division is looking for an Engineering Manager to manage the team in the field of compounds, foils and Carbon fibers, connecting with Europe Engineering team and delivering ready-to-sell products to the Sales organization.
He/She will maximize the returns to the newly formed Division.
The incumbent will operate in constant interaction with Product Lines, Sales, Finance, Marketing and Manufacturing stakeholders.
Aligned with our strategy on circular economy, his/her activity would be particularly focused on the development or local support of new sustainable solutions.
Youll work on challenges that matterThis job will require you to:
Lead and coordinate locally all MATERIACT activity to secure market and safe development of new products/milestones gates/planning Technical review of key program gates and validation of design freeze Management of program progress follow-up deliveries including planning and budget Collaboration with suppliers, customers, partners to achieve targets and deliverables Achieve technological & market intelligence and competition analysis Secure intellectual property Promote new technologies internally and externally Promote creativity & launches; brain storming, design thinking etc.
Support the Materials Strategy/is part of the strategic plan implementation Part of the development program to secure skill set enhancement in MATERIACT activity Develop and confirm local ecosystem; proactive liaison with external network to promote MATERI'ACT technologies:
Universities, techno platform, R&D center, OEM; Tier 1 and Organizations Part of external event implementation Work jointly with product lines to secure green implementation Support sales activity Manage key engineering indicators:
Quality and DeliveryThe ideal candidateTo succeed in this position, you will ideally have:
PhD
5-7 years minimum experience Or Bachelors in Engineering with minimum 10 years experience Organic chemistry, specialized in Polymers Polymerization process Knowledge in reinforcement natural and mineral fibers or fillers Recycling technologies Technical analysis and characterization International experience and mindset, Able to work in a multicultural and foreign team environment Interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops with other departments and suppliers Curiosity and passion for technical domains Propensity to challenge status quo and take ownership to drive change Ability to manage complexity, taking distance to identify the key levers in a complex environment Strong communication and leadership to onboard and convince a large range of stakeholdersSo, are you coming on board?As a responsible employer, Faurecia is committed to promoting diversity.
