HRIS Payroll Analyst

General Purpose of
position
: To support project work related to the conversion of all aspects of Payroll, Time & Labor and Tax processing to a new outsourced (ADP) system.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Work with Project Team to determine and document conversion fits and gaps to ensure all known items are addressed in the conversion process.
Follow through on issues to determine root cause, resolution and recommendation of system/process changes required to ensure improved results.
Work with ADP on system set up of income and deduction codes to ensure proper taxation and GL mappings.
Mapping and validations of data conversions.
Interface development and validations.
Development of test cases and execution/validation of associated testing.
Process documentation.
Work with Global Payroll Accounting group to understand/develop system routing set-up, SAP GL interface and associated accrual structures as needed to support the new process.
Participate scheduled team update meetings; maintain required documentation for team.
Partner with various internal/external business partners to gather/provide necessary information on a timely basis.
Work with tax project team to ensure requirements to transition account management for the various tax jurisdictions are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
Validate Reporting fit gap to ensure reporting requirements are still current and can be met via delivered or ad-hoc reporting.
Assist with development and delivery of training for in-house production staff on new processes/procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
AS or BS degree in accounting, finance or related area.
5-7 years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-company, multi-state environment.
2-3 years of tax deposit and filing experience required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Creative problem solver.
SSRS Query and Report Writer experience desired.
Previous ADP / PeopleSoft experience desired.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
Limited travel possibleEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
