Logistics Planner needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Auburn Hills,
michigan
. The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:- Logistics Planning - SAP (MM and SD) - MS Office (Word and Excel) What You'll Be Doing:- Receive and analyze customer releases received via EDI into SAP. - Process, review and analyze customer releases for accuracy/discrepancies. - Communicate to Customer with any issues (increases, decreases, late shipments, etc) and provide recovery plans in critical situations. - Create schedule agreements, maintain source list in SAP, and generate call-offs to the suppliers based on customer demand and required on hand and in transit inventory levels. - Create delivery notes daily in SAP for shipment staging at warehouse. - Schedule daily trucks for customer shipments from warehouse when necessary. - Track suppliers' incoming shipments, backlogs, mode of transportation, and maintain recovery plans when critical supply situations exit. Communicate with both supplier and customer with promise shipment and delivery dates. - Coordinate engineering changes/phase in and phase out while avoiding obsolescence. - Data entry of premium freight shipments into SAP. - Tracking and obtaining disposition of quality hold material at warehouse along with performing applicable SAP transactions based on approvals. - Participate in monthly volume review meetings for long term forecasting. What You Need to Bring to the Table:- Bachelors Degree (Logistics/Supply Chain Management preferred). - Working knowledge of MM and SD modules in SAP. - Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel). - Keen ability to review and analyze data. - Customer service experience. - Must be available for night and weekend support when required.
