The Staff Counsel attorney will be responsible for defending company against charges filed with the EEOC and state fair employment practices agencies. Responsibilities include: analyzing charges for legal basis, timeliness, and jurisdiction, preparing the position statement and responses to requests for information submitted by such agencies, preparing witnesses and attending on-site visits and fact-finding conferences, participating in mediations and negotiating settlement agreements and releases, working with company personnel to obtain information and documents necessary to prepare responses to the agencies, and analyzing charges for trends. Additionally, the Staff Counsel will provide counsel and training on employment law matters to the Human Resources organization and may provide support with respect to employment litigation as necessary.
