Senior Program Manager

Responsible for designing, developing, testing and installing various client-server, web-based software application systems using CICS, DB2, COBOL, .Net, Mainframe, UNIX, Client Server, and Java; integrating to backend ERP systems working closely with the user community in determining how technology might assist in addressing their needs, then translating these needs into system requirements and design specifications; ensuring that program and project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives; leveraging applications for competitive advantage; reviewing project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources; developing program/project plans, specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources; formulating and defining the technical scope and objectives of project; coordinating assignment of project personnel and assigning duties and responsibilities to project personnel; directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget; reviewing the status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules and plans as required; monitoring project results against technical specifications; developing and maintaining technical and project documentation; developing quality assurance test plans, directing quality assurance testing, and providing leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle; communicating plans, status, and issues to higher levels of management; planning, directing, and coordinating activities of technology projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters; and ensuring that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives; preparing project reports for management, and clients.
Location: Auburn Hills, MI and various other undetermined worksites throughout the U.S.
Salary: $140,000 per year.
Education: Masters Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Training: None
Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, or as a Senior Program Manager/Client Engagement Manager, Senior Consultant/ Technical Lead, Assistant Manager (Computer Systems & Maintenance), or in a related occupation.
Experience must include use of Mainframe, UNIX, Client Server, CICS, DB2, .Net, and COBOL.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
