We are currently seeking a PRODUCT & PROCESS ENGINEER to join our team.
Responsibilities include providingtechnical direction and support to meet both customer as well as organizational objectives on current production programs. Effectively supports program managers by communicating and working with customers and internal departments.
Job is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Travel to other facilities in Ontario (Port Hope, Guelph) will be required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Review designs with Customer Engineering for Manufacturing feasibility
Process paperwork to quote design change requests for all tooling, secondary's, fixtures for both internal and supplier changes
Review all dimensional data for both internal and suppliers
Primary responsibility for root cause analysis for both internal and customer issues, coordinate implementation of corrective actions
Review design data to determine process issue or design issue
All coordination with Customer Design engineering for paperwork (BOM, PIP, Etc.) and process improvement change requests.
Support quote process for data review, dimensional analysis, all engineering requirements.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Engineering Degree ? Bachelors highly preferred.
Strong communication and documentation skills
High level of proficiency in problem solving
Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability
Demonstrated innovative thinker
Automotive interior experience
The following would be a plus:
Plastic product and process development knowledge
Injection Tooling and Fixture knowledge
Understanding of GD&T
Ability to interpret a 3D CAD model and all related drawingsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
