DUTIES: Work with Business Unit (BU) leadership to drive financial performance and ensure compliance of the BU's financial statements. Lead the BUS business plan to achieve short- and long-term financial objectives. Provide leadership and direction across the BU in a multi-plant, multi-geography environment. Maintain internal controls to ensure the reliability of financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable local laws and regulations. Oversee BU income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, capital management, and economic value creation. Oversee BU judgmental reserves, accruals, and accounting estimates, including but not limited to warranty reserves, allowance for doubtful accounts, inventory reserves, capitalization of manufacturing variances, and appropriate live assets. Protect the financial integrity of Emissions Systems through scope monitoring of financial reporting practices and internal controls. Interface among corporate headquarters and Emissions Systems reporting units, including presentation of monthly financial results and forecasts to corporate staff. Oversee operating investments, including evaluation of capital decisions and management of working capital. Assess currency fluctuation net risk and leading the formulation of strategies to mitigate risks. Assess commodity cost fluctuation risks and coordinating solutions with functional leaders and corporate treasury. Coordinate local borrowings and currency management transactions under the direction of corporate treasury. Provide and communicate accurate and timely financial analysis and business evaluation and recommendations which meet the needs of Emissions Systems, BorgWarner, Inc., government agencies, independent auditors, and other parties as necessary. Assess new market and product opportunities that support Emissions Systems business strategies and provide for the long-term growth, economic value creation, and continuing business vitality of the company. Oversee the development of projected products costs for customer quoting and capital requests. Lead the annual budgeting and long-range plan process and formulating, monitoring, and regularly assessing financial operating plans and performance. Analyze, interpret, and communicate complex financial information to the financial community and non-financial management. Communicate expectations of performance, set performance targets, assure that key management understands the targets and how their actions impact achievement, and provide ongoing analysis, recommendations, and assessment of performance against targets. Instill a mentality of cost reduction and waste elimination in the business unit. Manage, evaluate, monitor, oversee hiring, and develop the finance leadership within the BU. Foster an environment of teamwork and cooperation across all company businesses and functions to ensure the successful achievement of the company's business strategy and financial objectives. Participate with other company managers in the formulation of policies, procedures, and strategies to achieve objectives, and advise the management team of the potential financial/business impact of its decisions. Advise the president and other key members of the BU executive team on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters. Serve as the management liaison to the Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer of BorgWarner, Inc. and effectively communicating and presenting critical financial matters to them. Contribute to the development of the BU's strategic goals and objectives. Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the president informed of all critical issues. Represent the organization externally, particularly in banking and lease negotiations. Support the Vice President of Business Development in merger and acquisition activities and participate in financial due diligence, negotiating strategy, and activities related to the purchase agreement contract for target acquisitions. Travel 20%.
REQUIREMENTS: (Applicants with any suitable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.) Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field of study required. 12 years experience in the job described or related finance, accounting, or business position. Professional experience must include: cost accounting, general accounting, taxation, capital planning, budgeting and strategic planning, cost estimating, capital project analysis, US GAAP, internal controls and supervision; management in a multinational business environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
