Reporting Information/Location
This CLC Bankruptcy Specialist position is located at 3551 Hamlin Road, Auburn Hills, MI and reports to the Collections Department Manager.
Position Responsibilities
1. Provides diverse and complete knowledge for bankruptcy and collection functions for Mortgage, Installment and Revolving Consumer portfolios.
2 Monitors and instructs vendors on Bankruptcy functions.
3. Maintains knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory requirements in Comerica's markets (Bankruptcy Laws and Fair Debt Collection Act).
4 Ability to make decisions within department guidelines to expedite work flow and transaction processing to minimize risk.
5. Ability to independently handle multiple tasks and prioritize workflow.
6. Handles customer inquiries regarding account status and problem resolution.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or 2 years equivalent experience in Bankruptcy
- 1 year experience with Bankruptcy or 5 years experience in a Bankruptcy area
- 2 years experience with spreadsheet software (Word, Excel, Access).
- 2 years financial services experience or 1 year experience with collections systems (Fast Data, FileNet, easy collect, Hogan, First Pursuit, Lexis Nexis
