Senior Financial Analyst

Overview:
Responsible for Tire Original Equipment Sales & Marketing controlling functions, including price administration, sales analysis, cost analysis, sales forecasting, sales and marketing expense control, and legal entity accounting and reporting. Collaborate with sales and factory controllers to support problem solving, check consistency of reporting/guidelines and propose areas for improvement/best practices
Core
Responsibilities:
Support OE sales forecast (including volume, sales, margin on a customer basis), including analysis of manufacturing costs and update of standard database for forecast detail.
Provide weekly reports of Monthly P&L estimates and trend
Oversee Monthly Tracking and review of OE Receivables. Facilitate resolution on all issues with Key Account Management and Receivables Department.
Actual / Forecast variance analysis reporting, based on defined formats and target dates.
Quantitative analysis for pricing issues / RFQ's being provided to the Key Account managers and copies to Management.
Convert information (customer, volume, etc) from KAMs into the OE budget / strategic plan. Generate related reports by required due dates.
Preparation and analysis of sales company P&L for US & Canada (Actual, FC, and budget)
Monitor and reconcile balances in accrual accounts related to OE business unit. Preparation and entry of journal entries as necessary.
Monitor, analyze, and forecast actual department expenses / headcount for KAM, when required. Assist R&D controller with reporting / forecasting of R&D cost centers in Auburn Hills. Generate related reports with required due dates.
Assist KAMs in planning (budget, 5 year plan) department expenses and headcount. Generate related reports as required.
Maintain OE price administration (price lists and SAP pricing files)
Evaluate cost developments, processes and set-up to initiate process improvement actions focused on Efficiency and Quality Robustness

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance or Accounting), Economic studies or similar

years of professional experience
3
years of accounting / controlling experience, including understanding of standard costing and variation analysis.
Strong excel and power point skills
10% - 15% Travel
Preferred
Qualifications:
SAP (modules: FI / CO)

years of accounting / controlling experience within Continental or 5
years of accounting / controlling experience
Experience with FiRE, EBITs, Markis
