Your responsibilities
This role is responsible for our Manufacturing Operation in Auburn Hills, MI. Responsibilities include:
Recruit, hire, train, coach, reward, and discipline to maintain a fully capable, stable workforce.
Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
Supervise branch production using available planning tools
Develop and implement business plans in support of plant, region, and company objectives including meeting customer requirements and achieving financial objectives
Increase the reliability and continuous improvement of quality and efficiencies
Provides training and guidance regarding quality, safety, and productivity
Facilitate LEAN practices in the plant
Recommend and implement changes to improve operational efficiency
Ensure that all quality, safety, OSHA, and EPA procedures are implemented
Suggests and/or implements improvements for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost and cycle times
Maintain accurate attendance records
Establish the goals and metrics to drive improvement; and establish the environment where the team can accomplish more than it imagined
Meets all other Engineered Plastics/tkMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies

Your profile
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years work experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory position
Fluency with CNC programming
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build an effective team
Proficiency with CNC Mills, Lathes, and Routers
Experience with Mastercam and Alphacam
Experience in safety, LEAN practices, and ISO standards
Complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop orientation
Ability to work independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
Extensive knowledge or experience in plastics, distribution, or manufacturing industry
