Your Responsibilities
Summary:
Responsible for checking various mechanical designs and improving design practices by performing the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)o Compliance with company, legal, and regulatory requirements for Health, Safety, and Environmental topics in order to foster a culture of Health & Safety.
o Executes feasibility studies, interference studies, dimensional and tolerance checks, material recommendations and cost efficiency assessments of mechanical designs.
o Recommends proven standard solutions and components to improve quality and cost of mechanical designs.
o Corrects engineering solutions and designs in compliance with engineering principles (i.
e.
DFA, DFM), company standards, customer requirements and project specifications.
o Regular attendance at the assigned job site(s).
Supplemental Duties and Responsibilitieso Supports designers throughout the design phase.
o Develops and designs mechanical standard solutions that provide functionality for a variety of products in a cost effective manner.
o Develops draft station or assembly concepts.
o Other duties may be assigned as required Your Profile
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field from a 4-year college or technical school with 2 years of related experience; or 4 years of related experience and/or training/education o Design capability using Inventor 3D and/or Solidworks 3D is required.
AutoCAD 2D is required and NX 3D preferred.
o Experience in designing powertrain assembly equipment and systems is required.
o Working knowledge of product lifecycle management software (PLM).
o Capable of executing detailer role.
o Working knowledge of GD&T, DFM and DFA.
o Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookSalary:
